Luka Welcome Banner

You want to learn how to play that song you loved on the radio?  The reality is that you can’t. You may play the melody or the base line chords. but to sound like it is on the Radio you will need a band and a $500,000 studio.

The way a song is constructed for a band. Example. The drummer is the metronome. the base player plays a G note, the lead guitar plays a B chord or arpeggiates it,  then the vocalist sings a D scale. There is the open G chord your going to play. GBD R35.

So then, if you truly wish to learn your guitar. Your looking in the right place. We don’t  use CAGED systems, patterns or fast learning tricks. There are no shortcuts. There is only one true way. Memorize where the notes are. To do that you practice scales, reading music and saying notes out-loud when you play them. Yes, just like we learned the alphabet as a toddler.

These pages are NOT designed to teach or instruct you on how to play a Song.

These pages are here to help you learn how to play a Guitar, coming from the view point of a beginner.

These pages are for people just beyond beginning. It is presumed you know how to tune, change strings, and when you see 6F3 you know that is 6th string (E) and the third fret a G note which is at 98Hz.
